TMTradie Marketplace

Terms of use

Simple rules for a safer marketplace.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

The marketplace

Tradie Marketplace helps customers and independent tradies find and communicate with each other. The platform is not the employer, agent or contractor of either party and does not perform, supervise or guarantee work.

Accounts and conduct

You must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate information, protect your account and use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not post misleading jobs or quotes, misuse another person’s information, harass users, send spam, arrange unlawful work or bypass safety controls.

Quotes, work and payment

Quotes and work agreements are between the customer and tradie. During the pilot, payment is arranged directly between them. The app does not provide escrow, insurance, warranties or payment protection. Put the scope, price, timing and important conditions in writing before work starts. Platform charging is disabled unless clear pricing and acceptance are shown before a future paid feature is used.

Checks and credentials

Verification labels describe only the checks explicitly shown. Other identity, licence, insurance, business, experience and qualification information may be tradie-supplied. Customers should make checks appropriate to the work and Queensland licensing requirements.

Content and communications

You retain responsibility for content you submit and give us permission to store, display and process it as needed to operate and protect the marketplace. We may hide or remove unsafe, fraudulent, unlawful or inappropriate content and may preserve relevant records during a complaint or investigation.

Safety, complaints and emergencies

Users can report or block others and contact support at support@tradiemarketplace.com.au. We may warn, restrict, suspend or ban accounts to protect users and the service. Tradie Marketplace is not an emergency service; call 000 where there is immediate danger.

Cancellation and account closure

You may stop using the service or request account deletion. We may retain limited complaint, fraud, financial and audit records where reasonably required for safety, disputes or legal obligations.

Availability and liability

The pilot may change, be limited by region or experience interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, users remain responsible for their decisions, communications and work arrangements.

Changes

We may update these terms as the pilot develops. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website or account contact details where appropriate.
